Patrice Sollenberger

Assistant Director of Music & the Arts

Patrice grew up in Paola, Kansas where she began her music education with her father, Charles Molina as her first choir and band director and her mother, Joyce Molina as her voice teacher. She attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a Bachelors of Music Education with an emphasis in both instrumental and vocal music and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting.  

Patrice has been a choral music educator for 36 years, 21 of those years were at Shawnee Mission North High School as the Director of Choral Music. She has served as guest clinician for area honor choirs, and from 1995 to 2000, she was selected to perform with the Robert Shaw Festival Singers at Carnegie Hall. She was a member of the Kansas City Chorale from 1993 and is now serving that organization as Artistic Assistant. She is also Assistant Conductor of the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. 

She has served as a church musician for nearly 40 years beginning at the First Presbyterian Church of Paola where she grew up. She was Director of Music at Overland Park Presbyterian Church, Director of Music at Valley View United Methodist Church in Overland Park and currently Section leader and Assistant Director of Music & the Arts at Rolling Hills Presbyterian Church.

Patrice lives in Leawood, Kansas with her husband Jay, a professional trumpet player in the Kansas City area, and their dog Jake. Their son, Brandon and his wife Megan have a daughter, Ivy Kate, and son, Ezra.  Patrice can be reached at
